Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
The piece uses forged carbon fiber as its outer skin. The traces of algorithmic geometry read like records left behind by training, carving, and optimization. Two stainless steel rods extend from the upper leg area, with steel cables locked onto their ends, making it look as if the form is standing on restraints that have grown out of its own body. Through this unnatural posture, the work reflects on today’s obsession with sculpting the ideal body. When outward “strength” is pushed and exaggerated too far, is the body actually losing its real mobility and resilience?
